Steven M. De Falco joined Meuers Law Firm as an associate in May of 2004. He handles collection cases under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act ("PACA") in federal district and bankruptcy courts, formal and informal reparation cases before the PACA Branch of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and sales contracts.
Steve grew up in Chicago, Illinois where his family was involved in the trucking business. Steve received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1999 from DePaul University, in Chicago, where he majored in Finance. He received his law degree in 2003 from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago and later that year was admitted to practice law in Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In February 2004, he became licensed to practice law in Florida.
In 2004, Steve moved to Southwest Florida to pursue his legal career. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and hanging out at the beach. He still keeps in contact with his family and friends in Chicago, and hopes one day they join him in sunny Florida. He remains a loyal Chicago sports fan, and prays his White Sox become World Series champs before the Cubs.
